Man Hit With Gun, Robbed In Groveton: Police
The man was hit by a gun and forced to the ground while the robbers stole his belongings.

GROVETON, VA—Police are investigating a violent robbery that happened Thursday in the Groveton area.
Around 10:44 p.m., the victim was walking around Lockheed Boulevard and Groveton Gardens Road when approached by two men. One of the unknown suspects pointed a gun and hit him in the head with it.
This forced the victim to the ground, while the two me took items from him and fled. The suspects were both described as black. The suspect with the gun was described as 25 to 30 years old, 5 foot 5 to 5 foot 6.

The incident appeared to happen in a residential area near Huntley Meadows Park. The area was the site of two other armed robberies that happened within minutes a week ago.
No other notable incidents were reported in the Mount Vernon Police District Thursday.
