More Arrested In Murder Of Mount Vernon Teen

Two more suspects are facing first degree murder charges for the potentially gang-related killing.

MOUNT VERNON, VA—Two more arrests have been made in the murder of a Mount Vernon teen believed to be gang-related. Miguel Angel Ruiz Carrillo, 18, went missing in August and was found dead later that month in Prince William County.

Tomas Antonio Pino-Mejia, 19, of no fixed address was arrested Dec. 18 in Frederick, Md. and Ismael Antonio Hernandez-Navarro, 19, of no fixed address was arrested Dec. 20 during a traffic stop in Tennessee. Both face first degree murder charges, according to Prince William County Police. Court dates are pending, and both are awaiting extradition. No mugshots are available.

Others previously arrested were Hector Armando Gamez-Amaya, 28, of McDonough, Ga. in September, as well as Jose Vincent-Sosa, 20, and Edwin Dinarte Moreno, 18, of Alexandria and a female juvenile by Fairfax County Police in August.

The teen was reported as missing and endangered Aug. 8. He was last seen around the 4200 block of Buckman Road in Mount Vernon Aug. 3. Family reported him as missing when he didn't return home, but investigations found he was missing under suspicious circumstances. His remains were found Tuesday, Aug. 22 in Nokesville.

The investigation is being handled by Prince William and Fairfax County Police. Police continue to investigate and will provide additional updates when available.
