The revised county budget accounts for anticipated revenue changes caused by the coronavirus crisis. County Executive Bryan Hill's revised budget proposal would cancel the proposed 3-cent real estate tax increase, keeping the rate at $1.15 per $100 of assessed value. The proposed budget also eliminates pay adjustments for county employees and the proposed 4 percent admissions tax on the sale of movie, theater and concert tickets. The Board of Supervisors is expected to adopt the budget on May 12. More information on the budget proposal and timeline is available at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/budget.
