Hayfield Area Gas Station Held Up at Gunpoint: Police

Police have released four photos and are hoping someone recognizes suspects.

Fairfax County Police detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in an armed robbery that took place on Saturday at around 5:45 p.m. in the Hayfield area.

Two men entered the Hayfield Exxon Station at 6948 S. Kings Highway (see map below) and announced a robbery, police said. One man produced a handgun and ordered the clerk to open the register, according to police.

The clerk was assaulted during the robbery but did not require medical attention, police said.

The clerk complied with the suspects demands. The suspects took money, lottery tickets, cigars and cigarettes and fled, according to police.

The suspects are described as black, wore their hair in dreadlocks, and in their early 20s. One man had a goatee; the other had a short beard, police said.
