Sandburg Middle School Student Accused Of Sexual Offense
According to police, a school official intervened to stop the attempted sexual offense at Sandburg Middle School.

FORT HUNT, VA — A teen has been charged with attempted sexual battery in relation to a sexual offense at Carl Sandburg Middle School.
A school resource officer had been notified by a school official Oct. 6 about an attempted assault that same day in a courtyard that same day. The officer and Major Crimes Bureau detectives determined the incident started with a juvenile student asking the victim to get a milk from the cafeteria. When the victim did not listen, the student told the victim to get on their knees. The victim refused, and the student began to pull his pants down. A school official then intervened to stop the act from continuing.
Detectives conducted an investigation with numerous interviews, examining digital data and executing a search warrant. The teen was served with petitions Wednesday charging him with abduction and attempted sexual battery.
