• Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA seeks foster homes amid dog intake surge (whsv.com) — Harrisonburg's Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA is overflowing with about 125 dogs and urgently needs local foster homes to free up space. Staff are holding foster send-outs this Saturday from 1:30–3 p.m., hoping to place at least 10 dogs so incoming animals have somewhere to go.
   

• Motorcyclist arrested after pursuit in Augusta County (whsv.com) — A Staunton man was arrested after deputies say he fled a traffic stop on Route 262 in Augusta County and crashed his motorcycle before being caught at Engleside Apartments. Authorities report the bike was stolen from Fairfax County and carried a license plate reported stolen from Harrisonburg, tying the incident to multiple Virginia localities.
