Victims Of Fraudulent Contractor Sought By Loudoun County Sheriff
Victims are sought in connection with an investigation involving Stephen E. Ashford and his company, Pro + Design.
LEESBURG, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is seeking additional victims after completing a contracting fraud investigation involving contracting company Pro + Design and its owner. Anyone who believes they were victimized is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office, according to a release.
Stephen E. Ashford, 38, who owns Pro + Design — previously named Pro Home Remodeling — was arrested Aug. 5 on charges of failure to perform a promise for construction, embezzlement, and contracting without a license. Ashford was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
Though multiple victims were already identified, detectives believe there may be additional connected to this case. Those who believe they were victimized by Ashford are encouraged to contact Detective Roy Ortutay with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at roy.ortutay@loudoun.gov or 571-258-3375.
