LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA ā A Round Hill woman who was reported missing by her family more than a week ago has been located in Chicago and is safe, according to the family. Law enforcement told the family Sunday that Barbara Peters had been found.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and the Peters family had been asking for the public's assistance to help locate Peters, 40, who was last seen by family in Loudoun County on July 24. On Aug. 1, the LCSO said its detectives learned that Peters, a mother of three, may have traveled to Chicago after leaving the Maryland area on July 27.
Loudoun detectives said they were working closely with Peters's family to locate her. There was concern for the woman's well-being due to health concerns.
