Stabbing In Leesburg Was Accidental And Self-Inflicted, Teen Is Still Recovering: Police
Police said that a stabbing reported in Leesburg this month was accidental and self-inflicted. The teenage victim is still recovering.
LEESBURG, VA — A stabbing that was reported in Leesburg earlier this month was accidental and self-inflicted, the Leesburg Police Department announced. The victim, a teenaged boy, was hospitalized and is still recovering from his injury.
The stabbing was reported around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14. At that time, the Leesburg Police Department Emergency Communications Center received a call for assistance near the intersection of Edwards Ferry Road NE and the Route 15 Bypass.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim suffering from a stab wound to the lower body. The teen was taken to the hospital where he was then listed in stable condition. He is still recovering from the stab wound, police said.

The investigation has been turned over to the Office of the Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney, who will determine whether charges will be filed.
