• Charges dismissed against two men accused in string of summertime robberies (wset.com) — A summertime armed robbery at the Quik-E on South Amherst Highway in Madison Heights, initially linked to a Lynchburg man, will not move forward in court after prosecutors dropped the charges. Lynchburg courts also declined to prosecute related city robberies, with both men’s cases listed as nolle prosequi, which means not pursued but not the same as an acquittal.
