The Virginia Lottery announced Monday that nobody has come forward with the winning ticket for the Jan. 12 Cash 5 night drawing. The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven at 9807 Cockrell Road, near Center Street (Route 28) and Wellington Road on the west side of the city.

The winning numbers were 3-7-10-20-25. The person who has that ticket should contact the Virginia Lottery immediately at 703-494-1501.

The odds of winning the $100,000 prize in Cash 5 are 1 in 278,256, the Virginia Lottery says.

But by law, winning tickets expire 180 days after the drawing. In this case, since the 180-day period ends on Saturday, July 11, the winner has until the close of business on the next business day - 5 p.m. Monday, July 13. If it’s not claimed by then, the $100,000 ticket will become worthless.

The unclaimed prize money will go to the state Literary Fund, which supports educational needs such as upgrading technology in schools and teacher retirement funding. For more information, check out the Virginia Lottery’s website.
