Family Assaulted After Break-In in Manassas: Police

Manassas Police say four females targeted a juvenile girl at her home.

MANASSAS, VA — An entourage of females assaulted a juvenile girl and her family early by throwing things at them after forcing their way into her home at the 8400 block of Georgian Court late Monday night, according to Manassas Police.

Rikina L. Harris, 21, of the 17400 block of Kagera Drive in Dumfries, was charged with malicious wounding, assault and battery and breaking and entering.

Shortly after midnight, police responded to an assault that had just occurred. The victim told police that upon arriving at her residence, Harris, an acquaintance, followed her into the residence and started an argument.

Harris, police say, then forced her outside where she was assaulted by Harris and three other females. Her family members tried to intervene but were hit with a barrage of undisclosed objects, causing minor injuries.

The other suspects were identified as an adult and two juveniles, and it's unclear from the police report whether they were charged.
