Farm Aid Head-Butt Leads to Arrest in Bristow: Police

Prince William County Police already had arrested the New Jersey man for public intoxication at Jiffy Lube Live.

BRISTOW, VA — A New Jersey man arrested for public intoxication during last Saturday's Farm Aid concert at Jiffy Lube Lube Live was arrested again shortly thereafter when he tried to escape while being booked at the makeshift venue station and then head-butted a corrections officer, according to Prince William County Police.

Thomas Patrick Philbin, 30, of Prospect Avenue in Dunullen, N.J., was charged with assault and battery on a corrections officer, escape without force and public intoxication.

Around 5 p.m., a Prince William County officer working off-duty detail at the concert was alerted to drunken behavior by Philbin, who was arrested and taken to the on-site station. While he was being processed, police say, Philbin broke free, tried to flee but was quickly caught.
