Inmate Charged After Punching Officer in Manassas: Police
Prince William County Police say the man became agitated while being transferred from his cell and then socked the officer in the face.
MANASSAS, VA — An incarcerated man being transferred from his cell at the Prince William-Manassaas Regional Adult Detention Center early Tuesday morning was arrested after punching a corrections officer in the face, according to Prince William County Police.
Jesstyn De Leon Wise, 18, of the 18400 block of Lotus Court, was charged with assault and battery on a corrections officer.
Shortly after 2 a.m., police responded to the scene and said that while being transferred from his cell, Wise became agitated and took a swing that connected.
