Police: Murder Suspect's Car Abandoned at Elementary School

Officers searching area around T. Clay Wood Elementary School. Students relocated Monday morning.

Officers searching for the suspect in a fatal shooting early Sunday found his car abandoned at an area elementary school Monday morning, according to Prince William County Police.

Edward Everett Hale Jr., 35, of the 100 block of Heather Stone Way in Glen Burnie, Md., is wanted for murder. He is described as a black male, 5’10”, 190lbs with brown eyes, bald and a goatee.

Hale’s 2009 Honda Accord coupe was located at T. Clay Wood Elementary School on Monday morning.

Officers were conducting an extensive check of the school property and surrounding area, according to a statement by PWCPD. A police helicopter was searching in the air and a police K-9 and Bloodhound were used on the ground in the search.

Wood Elementary students were transported to Brentsville District High School, where school activities were expected to continue.

Officers responded at 6:25 a.m. Sunday to the 12700 block of Lednock Way, Bristow, regarding a shooting.

Police found Jessica Leigh Wilson, 31, of Bristow, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead. Investigators believe that Wilson was shot during a domestic dispute.
