Police: Safe Stolen From Mexican Restaurant
Burglar used white van in Jan. 7 theft, say Manassas City Police

A burglar broke into a local restaurant on Jan. 7 and stole a safe, as well as cash and checks, and Manassas City Police are working to track down the suspect.
On Sunday, Jan. 18, the police met with an individual at Mexico Lindo Restaurant, 8630 Mathis Ave, for a report of the burglary, according to a police report. The individual told officers that during the overnight hours of Saturday, Jan. 7, someone broke into the business, damaged the doors, and stole the safe and an undisclosed amount of cash and checks.
The Manassas City Police released surveillance images of the suspect and his vehicle recorded during the incident. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, about 5-feet-10-inches to 6-foot-3-inches tall with a thin build, wearing a sweatshirt, gloves, jeans, tennis shoes, and some sort of hood or cover over his head. He drove a white van, similar to a newer model Dodge Caravan.
