Shots Fired at Juvenile During Botched Drug Deal in Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA — A 16-year-old male was shot at Sunday by an unknown man night after trying to buy to buy marijuana in the area of Irongate Way and Cannonball Court in an incident that doesn't appear to be random, according to Prince William County Police.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was identified as a Hispanic male, between 16 and 20 years old, 5-6, 150 pounds with a thin build and light complexion. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a red Chicago Bulls cap, and is wanted for attempted malicious wounding.

Shortly before midnight, an officer was on routine patrol when he heard gunshots and saw three people trying to flee the area, after which he was able to stop one of them, the juvenile.

The victim said he and two friends had made arrangements to buy marijuana from an unknown man, and while walking to meet him were ambushed by three unknown men, one of whom flashed a handgun and fired it toward him.
