Suspect Charged In 2 Manassas Bank Robberies: Police
Authorities have charged a Maryland man in connection with two bank robberies that occurred earlier this year in the Manassas area.

MANASSAS, VA — Authorities in Prince William County have charged a man in connection with a pair of bank robberies that occurred in the Manassas area earlier this year.
Police identified the man as 37-year-old Zachary Allen Hunter. Hunter was arrested in Fairfax this week in connection with a bank robbery in Reston. For his role in the Manassas bank robberies, Hunter is charged with two counts of robbery.
His court date is pending and he is being held in Fairfax County.

If convicted of both counts, Hunter could face up to 4- years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.
Investigators believe Hunter was responsible for a robbery at the Bank of America on Sudley Road on Nov. 19 and a robbery at the Wells Fargo on Sudley Road on Oct. 4. In both instances, the robbery passed a note to the teller demanding money and implied that he had a gun.
Gunshots were not fired in either robbery, and the robber was able to escape the scene.
