3 Arrested In Tysons Grab-And-Run Retail Theft Spree: Police
Fairfax County police said more than $4,500 in stolen merchandise was recovered after thefts at Tysons Corner Center.

TYSONS, VA — Three people were arrested after a series of grab-and-run retail thefts in Tysons on Wednesday, according to Fairfax County police.
Detectives with the Tysons Urban Team responded shortly to the 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road after 12:30 p.m. for a reported larceny at a retail clothing store. An employee told police three women grabbed merchandise and ran from the store without paying.
During the investigation, detectives learned that the women had also stolen merchandise from several other clothing retailers at Tysons Corner Center, police said. Detectives identified a vehicle connected to the suspects in a nearby parking garage.

A short time later, a loss prevention officer from another retail store in the 2000 block of International Drive reported a similar theft, police said. Detectives reviewed surveillance images and determined the same suspects were responsible for the thefts, according to police.
Detectives broadcast a lookout for the vehicle and entered it into the Flock Safety alert system. Police said detectives with the Auto Crimes Enforcement Unit found the vehicle in the 2900 block of District Avenue in Merrifield and took three people into custody without incident.

Police identified two of the suspects as Paige Semaj Page, 18, of Washington, D.C., and Beautiful Barber, 18, of Washington, D.C. A 17-year-old girl from Maryland also was taken into custody, police said.
Detectives recovered more than $4,500 worth of stolen merchandise from the vehicle, according to police. All of the stolen merchandise was returned to the affected retailers.
Page was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with three counts of grand larceny, stolen property with intent to sell, conspiracy to commit larceny, possession of burglarious tools and petit larceny, police said. She was released on an unsecured $2,000 bond.
Page and Barber are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning in Fairfax County General District Court and have a preliminary hearing scheduled for 2 p.m. on Aug. 17, according to court records.
With the exception of the misdemeanor petit larceny charge they each face, all of the others are felonies. Page is also charged with possession of burglarious tools, which is a Class 5 felony. If convicted on this charge, she faces a potential prison sentence of one to 10 years and a maximum fine of $2,500, under Virginia law.
The 17-year-old was charged by petition with three counts of grand larceny, larceny with intent to sell or distribute, conspiracy to commit a felony and petit larceny, police said. She was released to her parents. No information was available about her court appearances.
