$300K Car Purchased One Day, Totaled Next In Great Falls
The driver bought the $300,000 McLaren 720S Friday and crashed it into a tree Saturday, police say.

GREAT FALLS, VA—A newly purchased sports car didn't get much use before it was totaled Saturday in Great Falls. Fairfax County Police say a $300,000 McLaren 720S crashed into a tree.
The owner had bought the car Friday. The next day, the car crashed in the 1000 block of Walker Road around 7:45 a.m., The Washington Post reports. An image of the mangled car shows it struck a tree.
The driver escaped with only non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Police have not identified the driver.

Speed is likely a factor in the crash. Police say the crash is "a reminder to slow down, or it could cost you."
