Widespread Search For 91-Year-Old Man Ends In Tragedy
Jerard Restaino, a missing elderly man suffering from memory loss has been found dead in Vienna, police say.

TYSONS, VA—After days of searching, police say the critically missing elderly man in the Tysons area has been found dead.
Jerard Restaino, 91, had been seen leaving the Koons Tysons Toyota dealership at 8610 Leesburg Pike in Vienna around 4 p.m. Friday. He is a U.S. Army veteran and suffered from memory loss.
Police found him in a field off Leesburg Pike in Vienna Sunday morning after checking area hospitals, the county jail, hotels, churches, stores, construction sites, and many other locations.

Over 100 officers, personnel and volunteers searched for the missing man. Among the groups searching were Restaino’s family, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police, the Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group, Metro Transit Police Department and employees of Koons Toyota. Virginia State Police and neighboring jurisdictions sent out alerts.
Restaino was described as around 5 foot 5 and about 140 pounds with grey hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black coat, khaki pants, a gold watch, wedding ring, a school ring with a blue stone and dog tags.
