Alarm.com, which provides home monitoring and automation services, will expand staffing at its Tysons headquarters.
TYSONS, VA — Alarm.com will expand its Tysons headquarters and add 180 jobs, the office of Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced Monday.
Alarm.com, which provides smart technology monitoring and automation services for homes and businesses, will expand the technology research and development division in Tysons. The expansion will create additional engineering positions.
"Alarm.com, which has office locations in several other states, chose to make this investment in Virginia due to Northern Virginia’s strong workforce, including its high concentration of STEM workers, numerous higher education institutions, and desirable quality of life," said Victoria Schillinger, the vice president of human resources at Alarm.com. "It was only a decade ago that our company was 10 percent of the current size, and with our passion for research, development, and technology, we look forward to welcoming new talent to our team, and continuing to foster a culture of innovation, connectivity, growth, and development."

Alarm.com's security, video monitoring, access control, intelligent automation, home management, and wellness solutions are available through thousands of service providers. Before the expansion, the company has approximately 700 employees in Virginia and has headquarters at 8281 Greensboro Dr #100 in Tysons.
The expansion was possible through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, a state-funded service providing consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs supporting employee recruitment and training.
