McLean Barricade Situation Ends In Arrest: Police

Police have resolved a barricade incident in McLean after eight hours.

MCLEAN, VA—Fairfax County Police took a man into custody after eight hours of a barricade situation in McLean Tuesday evening.

Around 4:30 p.m., police initially responded to a relative's report of an assault in the 6300 block of Old Dominion Drive. Police say the victim left the home, but the man barricaded himself. Officers contained the scene and crisis negotiators and tactical officers were brought in.

The barricade ended at 12:30 a.m. Police say Sean Price, 25, of McLean was taken into custody without injury. He was charged with assault and violation of a protective order

Police asked nearby residents to shelter in place and others to avoid the area as "officers attempt to peacefully de-escalate the situation." Old Dominion Drive was closed between Valley Avenue and Kirby Road.
