In honor of National Beer Day, here are some of the top spots to grab a beer in McLean.

MCLEAN, VA -- When you enter a bar, it'd be nice if it was a place that had not only good beer, but good cheer. You know, a place "where everybody knows your name." While the "Cheers" bar is made for TV, in reality, McLean has some spots that come awfully close.
Whether you like ale, lager, a porter, or some other type of beer, we can all agree atmosphere, vibe and other intangibles contribute to the values of a nice beer spot. In honor of National Beer Day, here are some spots near McLean where you can indulge in some good beer and cheer:
Lost Dog Cafe: 1690 Anderson Rd, McLean, VA 22102. The pizzeria is known for helping local animal rescue. It can also boast large menu selections -- and its ever-changing craft beers. One Yelp user says, "I like that they have many bottled beers, but also change their taps VERY regularly."

Paddy Barry's Irish Pub & Restaurant: 8150 Leesburg Pike, Tysons, VA 22182. This bustling pub in Tyson's Corner features craft beers and happy hour deals. The bar has regular entertainment with live music and trivia nights. One Yelper says, "Truly a friendly staff, always awesome service, and a team that invests in and takes care of local regulars. Definitely the Cheers of Tyson's."
Spacebar: 709 W Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046. This industrial-style bar features varieties of grilled cheeses and rotating craft beers on tap. One Yelp user proclaimed, "If you like really good beer, grilled cheese sandwiches, and tater tots, this is your place! Two dozen high quality micro brews on tap, infinite grilled cheese options, and crunchalicious tots with toppings galore."

Open Road Grill: 8100 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042 The laid-back environment of Open Road is perfect for grabbing a beer. The bar features mostly local brews and has live music and a deck. A Yelper exclaims, "As any proper bar should, they also provided complimentary air-popped popcorn with just the right amount of salt seasoning to make you want more adult beverages."
