Boy Recovering from Sledding Accident Gets Visit from NHL Caps Players (w/video)
McLean's Bensten, 6, aka "B-Man," is a big Caps fan; the team supported him during his recovery from a serious sledding accident.
Bensten Schone, a 6-year-old McLean resident is recovering after a horrific sledding accident. Now recovering at home, he recently played host to a team of NHL hockey players from the Washington Capitals, his favorite team.
Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, Mike Green, Tom Wilson and Michael Latta all visited the 6-year old at his home earlier this week, according to Megan Eichenberg, a team spokeswoman. Team members played a little hockey and brought him some gifts.

The young boy is a big fan of the hockey team. He and his siblings built a snowman during a school snow day, adorning it in a Caps jersey. The next day he was playing on his sled, and crashed into a passing car. He was flown to Fairfax Inova hospital in critical condition, according to Fairfax County Police.
The players and others who are part of the Caps family have supported Bensten, aka the “B-Man” during his recovery from the sledding accident, when they heard he was a fan.
