Cat Missing After McLean Animal Health Center Fire

Marmee, who is a therapy cat for a disabled elderly resident, went missing during the April 19 fire.

A cat escaped from a McLean animal health center and boarding facility during the April 19 fire and remains missing. Marmee, a brown tabby, escaped when Old Dominion Animal Health Center was evacuated, according to a Pawboost lost dog posting.

Her owner says she escaped near Emerson and Lowell Avenues and was headed to the area of Bryn Mawr Park at Laughlin Avenue and Tennyson Drive.

A message from the owner reads, "If you see her, do not approach her as she is afraid of strangers. She is semi feral and has trust issues. She serves as a therapy pet for a disabled elderly woman. Please help us get her home."
