Dranesville Democrats to Host Forum for 8th District Congressional Candidates

The forum is set for Thursday, May 15 and will include a straw poll.

The Dranesville District Democratic Committee (DDDC) is co-hosting with the Providence District Democratic Committee and the Fairfax County Young Democrats a forum for the Democratic candidates in the 8th congressional District primary contest.

The forum will be held from 7 too 9 p.m. Thursday, May 15 at the Alden Theatre located in the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean, Virginia (see map).

Immediately following the forum, audience members may participate in a straw poll. Glenn Kessler, the Washington Post's Fact Checker, will moderate the event and Richard "Rip" Sullivan, Jr., will be the Master of Ceremony.

With the announced retirement of 11-term Democratic Congressman Jim Moran, 10 Democrats have qualified to be candidates for the Democratic Party nomination for Virginia's 8th Congressional District.

The District's registered voters will decide the Democratic nominee during the Tuesday, June 10 Democratic primary.
