Farmers Market Week Event To Be Held In McLean

The McLean Farmers Market will host kids activities, cooking demonstrations and more at this week's event.

MCLEAN, VA — The McLean Farmers Market will host activities to mark National Farmers Market Week on Friday, Aug. 9 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Farmers Market Week runs from Aug. 4 through 10.

The McLean Farmers Market at Lewinsville Park (1659 Chain Bridge Road) will offer cooking demonstrations, kids activities and a gift basket raffle. It is among three Fairfax County-operated farmers markets participating in the national celebration.

The county's farmers markets offer a variety of fresh products such as produce, meats, cheese, eggs, jams, and honey. Markets are producer-only, which means the vendors grow or make from scratch everything they bring to market. All farmers and producers are within a 125-mile radius of Fairfax County.
