Giveaways, Sweet Treats, SpongeBob Visit Planned For Primark Opening

TYSONS, VA — International clothing retailer Primark has planned special giveaways, complimentary sweet treats, food trucks and a visit from SpongeBob SquarePants to celebrate the opening of its first store in Virginia on July 16.

The 35,000-square-foot retail store will open its doors in Tysons Corner Center on levels one and two in the Bloomingdale's wing. Customers will find the latest fashion trends and essentials for the entire family. This will include affordable NBA and NFL apparel.

Although the store is the first in Virginia, Primark recently opened its first store in the DMV at Arundel Mills in Hanover, Maryland. In addition, the company has signed leases at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge and the Mall at Prince George's in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Tuesday, July 16

• 11 a.m. - Be the first in line for a free tote, and enjoy complimentary treats from Georgetown Cupcakes, plus other giveaways while supplies last.

Saturday, July 20

• 10 a.m. - Free totes and other giveaways, while supplies last.
• 12-4 p.m. - A free lunch from Empanadas de Mendoza food truck will be served in the Primark parking lot.

Sunday, July 21:

• 10 a.m. - Free totes and other giveaways, while supplies last.
• 12-4 p.m. - Keep the Virginia heat at bay with a free ice cream in the Primark parking lot.
