Heroic Elevator Rescue Made In Tysons

It was a daunting task when first responders rescued a resident stuck near the 11th floor in an elevator.

TYSONS, VA—First responders made a heroic and daring rescue after a resident got stuck in an Tysons elevator near the 11th floor Wednesday evening. And it all happened without anyone getting hurt.

Rescue units responded to the call shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Tysons Boulevard. Firefighters found the elevator to be 35 feet below the 11th floor exit. The crew made contact with the resident, who did not appear to be injured.

The crew made a plan to take another elevator car down and rescue the resident from the roof hatch. An elevator technician moved the car to the 12th level while two other first responders moved over to the stuck elevator at the roof.
