MCLEAN, VA—With July 4th just around the corner, it's time to plan which Fourth of July fireworks and festivities you can attend this Independence Day.

McLean holds its own celebration culminating with fireworks on July 4. We've also rounded up fireworks shows and other Fourth of July events happening nearby.

If you're heading to the fireworks in McLean, unpleasant weather is possible. According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are likely, especially after 2 p.m. and before 11 p.m. Expect a 60 percent chance of precipitation with high temperatures near 92.

What: McLean Independence Day Celebration

Where: Langley High School, 6520 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA

When: July 4, gates open at 6:30 p.m.

The event is held by the McLean Community Center and features food trucks, a DJ, and fireworks. A DJ will offer musical entertainment and food trucks will include KOVI Asian Street Food Kitchen, The Big Cheese, Dogs on the Curb, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Tiki Treats DC and Westray’s Finest Ice Cream. The fireworks show begins at sunset, or around 9:15 p.m. Smoking, pets, fireworks, glass containers, weapons, sparklers, vaping and alcohol are not allowed on school grounds.

There will be limited on-site parking. Parking and a shuttle will be available at McLean Community Center, St. John's Episcopal Church and St. Luke Catholic Church and School.

In case of inclement weather, only the fireworks show will be rescheduled for Friday, July 5 at 8 p.m.

The Falls Church Fourth of July event typically features food trucks, music and fireworks. Attendees can bring blankets and flat-based chairs. More details will be announced in the coming days.

What: Vienna Fireworks Show

Where: Yeonas Park, 1319 Ross Dr SW, Vienna, VA

When: July 4, festivities at 7:15 p.m., fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

The Town of Vienna's annual fireworks show includes music by the Josh Christina Band, food and non-alcoholic drinks from the Vienna Little League concession stand and food trucks, and the main event sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union.

What: Sprinklers & Sparklers

Where: Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St SE, Vienna, VA

When: July 4, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

This daytime prelude to the fireworks show features three water slides and other water activities as well as five food trucks and snow cones. Kids (and adults who join in) should expect to get really wet.

What: National Independence Day Parade

Where: Constitution Ave. NW from 7th Street to 17th Street NW, Washington, DC

When: July 4, 11:45 a.m. - 2 p.m.

(Via the National Park Service's website): "Marching bands, fife and drum corps, floats, military units, giant balloons, equestrian, drill teams and more celebrate Independence Day in this patriotic, flag-waving, red, white and blue celebration of America's birthday!"

What: A Capitol Fourth Concert

Where: West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, Washington, DC

When: July 4, 8 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

(Via the National Park Service's website): "Co-sponsored by the National Park Service and the National Symphony Orchestra, A Capital Fourth honors our nation's 243rd birthday with an all-star salute of the best in American entertainment. Gates open at 3 p.m." Performers this year include John Stamos, Vanessa Williams, Carole King, Sesame Street, the National Symphony Orchestra, and many more.

What: DC Fireworks Display

Where: National Mall, Washington, DC

When: July 4, 9:07 p.m. - 9:27 p.m.

(Via the National Park Service's website): "Independence Day culminates with a spectacular fireworks display over the National Mall. The fireworks will be launched from West Potomac Park and will be visible from many locations throughout D.C. and Northern Virginia. The fireworks will be cancelled in case of heavy rain, thunderstorms or high winds."
