McLean Community Center Reschedules July 4 Celebration
The McLean Community Center has rescheduled its annual Independence Day celebration at Langley High School from July 4 to July 2.
MCLEAN, VA — The McLean Community Center has rescheduled its annual Independence Day celebration and fireworks from Monday, July 4 to Saturday, July 2.
The celebration will take place at Langley High School — 6520 Georgetown Pike in McLean —from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. Admission is free to the event, and no registration is required.
There will be limited free onsite parking. Shuttles to the event will be located at McLean Community Center (1234 Ingleside Avenue, McLean), Churchill Road Elementary School (7100 Churchill Rd, McLean)and St. Luke’s Church and School (7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean).

The celebration will include music and food trucks, along with fireworks.
Earlier this month, the Town of Vienna announced its Fourth of July fireworks show will be moved to Friday, July 1 due to staffing challenges at the company providing the fireworks.

Fairfax City’s Independence Day Evening Show, which features a concert, food trucks, and fireworks, will take place on July 5 at Fairfax High School. The fireworks were originally scheduled for July 4, but the city’s fireworks vendor canceled more than two dozen contracts due to a shortage of licensed pyrotechnicians.
