McLean Farmers Market Reopens For 2019 Season This Week

MCLEAN, VA—With the weather warming up, we're all ready to head outdoors to pick out local produce from our farmers markets. The wait is over for patrons of the McLean Farmers Market as it returns Friday, May 3.

The farmers market is held each Friday through Nov. 15 from 8 a.m.-noon at Lewinsville Park, 1659 Chain Bridge Road. It will be closed on May 17 for McLean Day setup.

This year's farmers market boasts 16 vendors:

• CAE's Artisanal Confections, LLC: Fairfax County, VA, value added products
• Dawn & Dusk Craft Coffee Bar: Fairfax County, VA, beverages, prepared food
• F.J. Medina & Son Farm: Westmoreland County, VA, produce, herbs, plants
• Grace's Pastries: Fairfax County, VA, baked goods
• Hidden Creek Farm: Fauquier County, VA, produces, meat, prepared food, packaged food, herbs, plants, value added products, dairy, baked goods
• JustAJs Veenies: Washington, DC, packaged food
• Lois's Produce, LLC: Westmoreland County, VA, produce, herbs, plants, crafts, value added products
• Lyn Phipps Plants: Fairfax County, VA, plants
• Mt Olympus Berry Farm: Caroline County, VA, produce, plants, eggs, herbs, value added products
• OZFEKA CATERING: Arlington County, VA, baked goods, packaged food
• Reid's Orchard & Winery: Adams County, PA, produce, plants, prepared food, value added products, herbs, beverages
• Rustiq Bakery & Cafe, LLC: Howard County, MD, baked goods
• Sharkawi Farm: Fauquier County, VA, herbs, plants, produce, packaged food, beverages
• Sweet Twist of Ecuador LLC Ana's Twist: baked goods, prepared food, packaged food
• Valentine's Bakery & Meats: Madison County, VA, baked goods, produce, meat, packaged food, eggs
• Westmoreland Berry Farm: Westmoreland County, VA, produce, value added products, baked goods

The McLean Farmers Market is one of 10 farmers markets operated under the Fairfax County Park Authority. The markets are strictly producer-only, meaning vendors items are raised on their farms or made from scratch. All vendors come from a 125 mile radius of Fairfax County.

Pets are not permitted at farmers markets with the exception of service animals.
