2. The second stop is this Mediterranean-style home customized with authentic Spanish tile roof, hand-applied genuine stucco walls, heated Brazilian cherry floors and arch motifs inside and out. When visitors enter through the elegant and unique glass and wood doors, visitors can take in the great room, porch and pool all in one glance. Continue on to see five bedrooms as well as a “mother-in-law” suite on the lower level. The home is within walking distance of downtown McLean, the Langley Shopping Center and Franklin Sherman School.

3. The third home is something like a castle, making it a standout in the neighborhood. Enter through the hand-crafted glass and metal doors to the spacious marble foyer and you can't miss the hand-painted blue sky ceiling with twinkling stars. Every ceiling you'll glance at is a work of art; the French-style kitchen has a rounded brick ceiling and the dining area includes a ceiling painted with birds. The family room boasts a masterfully crafted cedar ceiling and the living room ceiling is painted to compliment the Indian silk curtains and wall murals. The home is also an ideal place for entertaining with a stone patio, downstairs party room and theater room with intriguing floor lights. The home will feel endless as you walk through, as it boasts five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, three kitchens, a veranda with fountain and sauna.

4. Finish off the tour at a custom-made home in the Woodlea Mill neighborhood. Having an interior designer in the family guarantees a home with great decorating impact, and you'll notice the home impeccably decked out for Christmas. A fourteen-foot Christmas tree and dining room table set for Christmas Eve dinner as well as a family room table ready for the holidays are among the festive decorations. Other notable features are a gentleman’s library, a stone wine cellar, a media room designed to evoke the Golden Age of Hollywood, and a billiards room. Outside, you'll find a French garden, putting green and salt-water pool.

The tour is a 51-year tradition, and preparations have been happening since February, Inside NOVA reports. Parking will be available at the homes, and shuttle buses will not be offered this year.
