McLean House Fire Causes $1.1M In Damages
Three people were displaced after the heavy fire on Jan. 4.

MCLEAN, VA—The heavy fire at a McLean home on Jan. 4 caused around $1.1 million in damages, according to an estimate from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. There were no injuries, but three residents were displaced.
Firefighters responded to the 6600 block of Malta Lane around 1:40 p.m. to find heavy fire throughout the home. The home's residents were accounted for.
A second alarm was requested for additional water supply. The fire department reported at least a partial building collapse. The Arlington and Montgomery County, Md. fire departments assisted with the response.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
