McLean Starbucks To Close For 4 Weeks For Interior Renovations
Starbucks at the Chesterbrook Shopping Center will be closed for four weeks to allow for extensive interior renovations.

MCLEAN, VA — Starting on March 18, the Starbucks at Chesterbrook Shopping Center in McLean will be closed for about four weeks to allow for interior renovations.
The coffee shop at 6214 Old Dominion Drive will undergo a comprehensive renovation, according to Federal Realty Investment Trust, including:
- Alterations to the current bar setup
- Updated partition arrangements
- Installation of new lighting
- Incorporation of modern furniture and fixtures
- Application of fresh finishes
- New, inspiring artwork
- Redesigned second story seating
"We are excited to bring this transformative Starbucks renovation to Chesterbrook Shopping Center, which aligns with Federal’s commitment to creating vibrant and modern spaces for the community," said Deirdre Johnson, Federal Realty's senior vice president of asset management. "This project builds on our long-term vision and unwavering commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for all visitors."

Federal has already announced that several other merchants in the shopping centerwould also be undergoing renovations. These include:
- SkinSpirit: A premier destination in medical aesthetics and skincare for face and body, will open its first location in Virginia and third location in the DMV in summer of 2024.
- Small Door Veterinary: Opening in fall of 2024, the membership-based veterinary care provider delivers cutting-edge services and superior veterinary care for pets while providing a personalized, modern, and convenient experience for pet parents.
- Call Your Mother: the popular D.C. bagel shop opened a mobile “Lil Deli” truck at Chesterbrook in spring 2023 and will soon occupy a permanent space next to Le Village Marche. The “Lil Deli” will remain in operation until the new space is ready in the fall of 2024.
- Sorn Thai: A new concept from the team behind Donsak is anticipated to open in late- 2024. Inspired by owner Supisa “Boom” Teabut’s grandmother, Sorn, the menu will be based on her recipes featuring southern Thai dishes, including pad Thai and pad see ew.
- Bluemercury: A leading luxury beauty retailer offering cosmetics, skin care, makeup, perfume, hair, and bath and body products founded in Georgetown, Washington, DC in 1999, is projected to open in early 2025.
