TYSONS, VA — Capital One Center is expanding its footprint in the Tysons skyline with the opening of four regulation-sized pickleball courts at Metro Park on Wednesday.

The new 8,000-square-foot facility features premium Laykold acrylic hardcourt surfacing and professional-grade nets that meet USA Pickleball standards. The courts are designed for both singles and doubles play.

Located at 1820 Capital One Drive, the outdoor facility will operate daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. through early November. While walk-up play is permitted, management requires all players to create an account and reserve court time through the CourtReserve platform. Every participant must also sign a one-time liability waiver before playing.

The opening coincides with the "Easter at Capital One Center" event on Saturday, April 4. The celebration, held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature a 3,000-egg hunt on the Great Lawn at The Perch, goat yoga, a petting zoo at Metro Park, and a 5K "Color Run"

The pickleball courts join a growing list of amenities at the 35-acre mixed-use development, which currently includes Capital One Hall, The Watermark Hotel, and Capital One Park, an NCAA-level baseball stadium.

"Pickleball's smaller court size makes it accessible and social," according to the announcement, noting the sport's appeal for corporate team-building and family outings.

Visitors to the courts can park in the Metro Park or Wegmans garages, where the first two hours are free. Rates then range from $6 for three hours to $25 for full-day parking. The facility is also located approximately 500 steps from the McLean Metro Station on the Silver Line.

Players are encouraged to bring their own paddles and balls, though a limited supply of equipment will be available on-site. For private events or tournament inquiries, organizers can be reached at reservations@capitalonecenter.com.
