The vegan concept from Chef Spike Mendelsohn has opened its first location in Virginia.

TYSONS, VA — PLNT Burger, an entirely vegan fast casual chain from Chef Spike Mendelsohn, has opened its first Virginia location in Tysons.
As reported by Eater DC, the concept is located at a food stand inside Whole Foods Market at the Boro development. PLNT Burger offers menu items like burgers, soft-serve, snacks and seasonal salads without using any animal products. Burgers use Beyond Meat, while the vegan twist on a fried chicken sandwich uses fried oyster mushrooms. The soft-serve ice cream and shake is made with oat milk.
Mendelsohn is known for competing on "Top Chef" and has various restaurants in the DC region. He is also known for Good Stuff Eatery, We, The Pizza, and Vim & Victor at the St. James entertainment complex in Springfield.
