Arts Extravaganza: An Evening of Fine and Performing Arts at West Potomac HS
Explore creativity and have fun finding out about the great Arts facilities at West Potomac High School.
February 2015: Arts Extravaganza: An Evening of Fine and Performing Arts will take place at West Potomac High School’s Springbank Arts Center on Tuesday, February 3th at 7:00pm.
TV Production and Theatre Arts: “The View”, a parody of the day time talk show “The View”, will feature students from TV Production and Theater Arts classes. This 20 minute show will entertain you with live sketch performances, dynamic improvisation and the ever-popular digital shorts.
Visual Arts: Drawing, photography, graphics, painting and sculpture! What would you CREATE with line, light, pixels, color and/or clay? EXPLORE West Potomac Visual Arts Department. Come experience the WPHS Super Art Fight, paint with light, paint like Jackson Pollock, play with pixels, and get elbow deep in color and clay.

Orchestra: Dust off your dancing shoes and Powdered Wig and join the West Potomac Orchestra and local dance company, Alexandria Dance, as we journey through Classical Eras. Learn how to dance the Minuet with Bach, the Waltz with Dvorak, and Polka with Strauss. We will finish our journey with a special choreographed contemporary piece, for your enjoyment.
Art and Guitar: Come join Art & Guitar in SuperArt Fight-- 30 minutes of fast paced drawing competition accompanied by high energy music. Be a part of the fun by either using your arts skills or rallying your team to beat the competion.

Guitar: Guitar for the complete beginner! Learn how to play a fun song on the guitar by engaging in a free mini lesson from a Wolverine Guitar Student . . . 10 minutes is all you need! If you already play, feel free to stop by and jam!
Guitar and Chorus: Join Chorus and Guitar for a presentation of NAME THAT TUNE a short showcase featuring popular guitar and vocal performances, musical games and a good old fashioned sing along!
Dance and Band: Join the Dance and Band department for dynamic dances to sounds of Jazz. These students will amaze you and will leave you asking, “Are they actually students?”
Arts Extravaganza: An Evening of Fine and Performing Arts will take place for “one night only”. This performance is at West Potomac High School in the Springbank Arts Center at 6500 Quander Road, Alexandria, VA 22307. This performance is free and we welcome the entire community into our doors.
