Cold Snap: Long Road Back to 20 Degrees in Mount Vernon

Dangerous cold temperatures don’t look like they’re going anywhere anytime soon, according to the National Weather Service.

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the region until noon Friday. But it’ll be another day before we even get out of the teens.

Thursday

• 6 p.m.: -5 degrees
• 9 p.m.: -9 degrees

Friday

• midnight: -12 degrees
• 3 a.m.: -16 degrees
• 6 a.m.: -17 degrees
• 9 a.m.: -12 degrees
• noon: -5 degrees
• 3 p.m.: 2 degrees
• 6 p.m.: 7 degrees
• 9 p.m.: 5 degrees

Saturday

• midnight: 3 degrees
• 3 a.m.: 0 degrees
• 9 a.m.: 9 degrees
• noon: 17 degrees
• 1 p.m.: 20 degrees
