Concert Series at St. Luke's Kicks Off Saturday
Eya will perform Saturday night with celestial hymns to the Virgin Mary.

This upcoming season of Concerts at St. Luke's promises to bring listeners a unique mix of music by local artists.
Medieval music trio Eya will perform in the first concert of the series on Saturday night. According to program director Scott Solak, the trio will become a quartet for this performance. The program, called Stella Serena, will focus on 12th and 14th century music from medieval France and Spain and Eya will perform hymns devoted to the Virgin Mary.
"They're really intriguing," said Solak. "We're really excited and delighted that they're performing."

Also on the roster for this season are violin and double bass duo Bridging the Gap; For Art, For Love, a piano and soprano duet by candlelight; and the Brahams Horn Trio in March.
The Concerts at St. Luke's series was started by parishioner Tom Yoder in 2008 and has grown to a group of seven parishioners who love music. According to Solak, the mission of the concert series is to present these performances by accomplished artists who live in the DC metro area for the listening pleasure of parishioners and neighbors.
