Crime Report: Break-ins Reported in Mount Vernon

An audible alarm called police to a Mount Vernon home.

The alarm went off at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday on the 3600 block of Becherer Road, police said. Officers responded and found the rear door forced open. A resident confirmed nothing was stolen.

Burglary

A resident reported someone had forced their way into a home through a front door, but nothing was stolen, according to police. The break-in was reported at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday on the 3800 block of El Camino Place in the Mount Vernon area.
