Homeschool Day at Mount Vernon

'Mount Vernon invites homeschoolers to experience 18th-century plantation life during this special one-day event! At the George Washington: Pioneer Farmer site, families can watch costumed interpreters produce 18th-century goods; learn about George Washington’s innovative farming practices; visit a reconstructed slave cabin; play colonial games; and see animals (like horses, mules, sheep, and oxen). Elsewhere on the Estate, families can tour Washington’s Mansion; visit our state-of-the-art Museum and Education Center; meet people from Washington’s world; and participate in a special wreathlaying ceremony at Washington’s Tomb.'

'We strongly encourage that you purchase tickets in advance for this popular event.'
