Inaugaural Batch of Aged Rye Whiskey for Sale

Historic Mount Vernon releases its first batch of aged George Washington Rye Whiskey beginning at 10 a.m. on October 22. Three hundred of the limited edition 375 mL bottles will be available for purchase for $185 each. For more information, please visit the Estate's website.

The aged George Washington Rye Whiskey was made at the reconstructed Distillery according to the original recipe. Aged on site in charred oak barrels for two years, Mount Vernon’s latest batch of whiskey represents a break with tradition (George Washington himself never aged his own whiskey, sending it straight to market instead). The result is a whiskey that evokes Washington’s spirit of creativity and enterprise, appealing to modern-day whiskey connoisseurs with its mellow flavor, rich color, and pleasing appearance. 

The aged George Washington Rye Whiskey will be available at The Shops at Mount Vernon and the Distillery & Gristmill site, located three miles from the Estate. A valid ID is required to purchase.
