Fire Investigators Charge Man with Starting Dumpster Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department fire investigators last week charged James T. Wilkerson, 53, with setting a dumpster fire.

The fire occurred Friday, Oct. 17, at the New Horizons Treatment Center, 8247 Gregory Drive, in the Mount Vernon area. He is charged with Virginia Code 18.2-81, burning of personal property greater than $200, and 18.2-86, maliciously setting a fire capable of spreading.

Damage is estimated at $1,500. Wilkerson is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Facility.
