We want to purchase some land and building a housing building for our Homeless Female Veterans and their Children have somewhere to reside in the Virginia Metropolitan area. The housing units can already have rooms in them allowing the Hurricane Foundation, Inc to provide those housing units to individuals in need. This week the Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is open Wednesday 1-4 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 4 PM, and Sunday 1-3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22309. We have just received donations of several boxes of vinyl records, dozens of beautiful home improvement books, and many dozens of impressive medical and home-health books. We have hundreds of children's books, many in like new condition, as well as current and recent best-sellers, history and biography, cooking, poetry, plays, classics, and much more. We have shelves full of CDs and DVDs. Did you know our inventory is donated by members of the community? Our sale and support of the library depend on your generosity. We greatly appreciate donations of good quality books and electronic media in resalable condition. We currently are in special need of audio books and CDs; please no magazines or encyclopedias. INDOOR AND OUTDOOR VENDORS!!!&nbsp; &nbsp;Antique, Vintage,&nbsp;Artisans and Crafters will be outside and inside the air-conditioned lodge.&nbsp; 
Great Community Event with something for everyone. Up to 45 Vendors and crafters are set up both inside and outside, with unique, antique, vintage, retro and handmade, bakery and chocolate artisans, handsewn gift items available for purchase. Please Support YOUR local vendors who work so hard to offer unique and lovely items to YOU! 
Many vendors will be selling -- with a variety of antiques and vintage items, from the very impractical (but lovely) to the extremely practical - they have it all! This is a market with all the vintage market wares: antique, vintage, collectibles, coins, stamps,&nbsp;furniture, depression glass, vintage/antique glassware, carpets, vintage clothes, handbags, toys,&nbsp;and more,&nbsp;AS WELL AS Arts &amp; Crafts Artisans, with handmade items, such as vintage and repurposed/handmade jewelry, crystal beaded bracelets, gemstone COMCON&nbsp;and animal figures, handcrafted soap figures, French lavender bud sachets in linen bags. There will be handmade/custom-crafted wreaths, crocheted scarves and hats, crocheted items,&nbsp;figures in lighted glass,&nbsp;gift baskets, great gift ideas. Enjoy browsing all the handmade and hand-picked curated gifts, collectible&nbsp;items, while enjoying the controlled temperature of the lodge building.

The annual Purcellville Wine and Food Festival returns on Saturday, July 18, in Dillon’s Woods at the historic Fireman’s Field Complex (250 S. Nursery Avenue, Purcellville). The festival will take place from 2 to 8 p.m., inviting guests to gather with family and friends for an afternoon and evening of local wine, beer, food, live music, art, and more.
This year’s event will showcase 40 vendors, including wineries, breweries, food and snack vendors, and local exhibitors. Enjoy live music performances by the Rick Reaves Band, The Darby Brothers, and the Franklin Park Big Band. The “Arts in the Garden” section, hosted by the Purcellville Arts Council, will highlight local artists who will create works of art live on-site. Additional activities include face painting and a photo stand-in booth. 
Early bird ticket pricing is available through 5 p.m. on July 17: 
• Early bird admission (ages 17 and over): $5 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink tickets (6 oz wine or 12 oz beer): $8.50 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink ticket package: 4 tickets for $32 (+ tax) 
• Early bird bottle of wine purchase: $35 (+ tax), available from participating wineries (bottles must be consumed on-site)
A souvenir glass will be provided with the purchase of the first drink ticket. Save time and money by purchasing your tickets in advance. 
The popular VIP experience returns for $275 (+ tax) and includes admission for six, a reserved table for six, three bottles of local wine, six souvenir glasses, six drink tickets, early entry to the festival, special commemorative gifts, and a selection of sweets and savories for the table.
