Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore

On Wednesday, April 20, the Friends of Sherwood Regional Library Bookstore will hold its regular Wednesday afternoon store hours, from 1 – 4 p.m.

On Saturday, April 23, the Bookstore will have a volunteer on hand to help with purchases between 10 and noon.

The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

Specials this week include:

· For children, a World Atlas standup flip chart, full color, 16 charts;

· A Great Courses set in 3 parts, 18 DVDs: European History, 1715-1914;

· Classic Aviation films, 6 DVD set;

· In vintage books, a 1948 edition of “The Bunch Quitter” by Don Patton, and “Children of God, an American Epic” by Vardis Fisher, 1939 edition.

· A like-new, full color storybook “Pinocchio” translation by Ester Tome, featuring cutouts on every page.

· “Ansel Adams, 400 Photographs.”

In the second floor hallway, our collection of mass market paperback fiction has been completely updated with hundreds of newly donated titles. The paperback mystery section has also been refreshed (including many Agatha Christie, Jane Haddam, and Dick Francis titles), as has the history category and a separate cart of military titles.
