Bookstore features sheet music, other classics this week.

The bookstore will be open on Wednesday, 1-4 PM. On Easter Sunday, April 21, the library and bookstore will be closed. The Friends bookstore has received a vast collection of music books, sheet music, instructional piano texts for teachers and students, art books, and other classical volumes. This very special donation comes from the collection of Karen Heather Hunt. During the next several weeks we will gradually add these items to our shelves.
This week the special price table features “The Piano Handbook” by Carl Humphries, “Master Class in Seascape Painting,” “Fabulous Fakes –Vintage Costume Jewelry,” and Black’s Law Dictionary. The “vintage” shelf next to the special price table has added a 41 volume set of small, individual 1904 printings of Shakespeare’s works.

The “quarter corner” in the upstairs open lobby, with boxes of children’s and young adult books for 25 cents each, is continually restocked with bargains. Every child and teen gets one of these books from the quarter corner free each time they visit the library.
