Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore has vinyl

This week the Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is open Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM and Sunday from 1-3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

Vinyl records are having an upsurge in popularity, and the bookstore has some! Recent donations included 2 boxes of vinyl, all priced at $1 each, and we still have a few holiday records.

Looking for holiday gifts? The bookstore has an amazing selection of “coffee table” books, many of gift quality, as well as children’s and young adult like-new books. Mini-books and $5 gift certificates make excellent stocking stuffers. For the entire month of December we will have all holiday books displayed and available for purchase

We continue to add to our vintage books corner. This week features a complete set of excellent condition Childcraft encyclopedias, plus dictionary, from 1991.

New for December, the bookstore will feature our small but growing collection from the African American shelf. Look for this in the sales room on the bookcase near the sales table.

The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
