Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore to have new Sunday sale

The bookstore will be open for regular sale hours this week on Wednesday, 1-4 PM and Sunday, 1-3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

NEW: EVERY SUNDAY, during our regular bookstore hours (1 to 3 PM), Special Price books located in the Special Price room will be half off their sticker price. All books with a red "slash" through the price sticker qualify for this special sale. New books are added weekly. This discount is ONLY available during Sunday sales and excludes children's books. Look for the red slash and enjoy lower prices!

This week’s new additions to the Special Price table include “Ships and Aircraft of the U.S. Fleet,” “The History of Royal Arch Masonry in Alexandria, Virginia,” and “The Thursday Turkey Murders” (an Inner Sanctum mystery).

We have received an amazing collection of novels by Anthony Trollope, in both hard- and soft cover formats and most are from the Oxford University Press. Look for these near the classics shelves.

Many of you donated children’s books for the youth ministry program in the rural South. Thanks to your generosity we collected over 900 books. Thank you!

With fall travel on the horizon, be sure to browse our selection of travel guides, maps, and brochures, for both U.S. and global destinations.

The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
